Stinger GC, one of the 13 teams in the LIV Golf League, announced the official launch of the Stinger GC Foundation, an evolution of the previously known Louis57 Foundation. This new initiative reinforces Stinger GC’s ongoing commitment to positively impact communities across South Africa. Through strategic programs both on and off the golf course, the Foundation seeks to empower and uplift local communities by focusing on healthcare, youth golf development and environmental conservation.

Building on the success of the Louis57 Foundation which was established in 2009 by Major Champion and Stinger GC captain Louis Oosthuizen, the now Stinger GC Foundation will unite the team’s various philanthropic efforts under one banner, expanding the team’s impact across South Africa. The Stinger GC Foundation will continue to support young cancer patients, children with autism, and children with Down Syndrome, as well as provide essential feeding programs to underprivileged communities, particularly at early childhood development centers. To nurture the next generation of golfers, the Foundation will invest in youth golf development, expanding upon Oosthuizen’s ongoing efforts to develop local talent.

The Foundation will also prioritize environmental conservation, with a strong emphasis on anti-rhino poaching initiatives aimed at protecting wildlife for future generations.

"Our team shares a deep passion for giving back and the Stinger GC Foundation reflects that commitment,” said Oosthuizen. “I’m incredibly proud of what the Louis57 Foundation has accomplished over the past 16 years but this next chapter allows us to do even more. By uniting our efforts, we can bring meaningful change to more communities across South Africa.”

The Stinger GC Foundation will host fundraising events, including Oosthuizen’s long-standing annual charity golf event at Pinnacle Point Estate in Mossel Bay, as a cornerstone of its philanthropic efforts. The foundation also plans to expand partnerships with corporate sponsors, national organizations, and global donors to strengthen its reach and long-term sustainability.

"At LIV Golf, we believe in making a difference both on and off the course,” said Jake Jones, SVP of Impact and Sustainability at LIV Golf. “The Stinger GC Foundation is an example of how our teams can serve as catalysts for positive change, and we are excited to support their mission.”

The foundation invites sponsors, donors, and community leaders to join its mission. For more information on how to get involved, follow @StingerGCFoundation on social media or visit www.stingergcfoundation.org.
