The run-in towards the league and cup glory officially starts with the #LoftusFestaItaliana this weekend as Jake White and his herd plot a 13-week plan towards silverware.

“It all comes down to this and everyone has a part to play. This is the run-in,” says the Vodacom Bulls mentor. “We compete to win and if things go according to our plans, we will be in action for the next 13 weeks. That means we need to be at our best performance-wise and we need our supporters to be a part of everything we are doing during this period because we will need their support now more than ever.”

The Vodacom Bulls, who sit in the top four of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship (VURC) and are in the Round of 16 of the EPCR Challenge Cup, could potentially be in action for the remainder of the remaining competition weekends as they set their eyes on going all the way.

The VURC continues to focus on inspiring the next generation of stars and this weekend, the Bulls will open their gates to all children under the age of 18 to enter for free. A celebration of kids in rugby and a commitment to continue making the game available and accessible to all.

Children can collect their matchday ticket from the stadium ticket office and on matchday, at the gates with ticket offices.

“It is exciting to be able to invite the next generation of players and children in general, to come and watch their favourite players,” remark White. “Kids will always have a special role to play in society and including them in our game is special for us as much as it is for them I am sure. I look forward to seeing them all here on the weekend and I hope they will be loud as they cheer us on.”

On the opposition this Saturday, White added: “Zebre were brilliant against the Sharks last weekend in Durban. We expect that they will arrive here high in confidence and determined to do their club proud, so the game should be a great rugby battle against an Italian side that continues to grow from strength to strength in this competition.”

This weekend, Loftus will give fans and visiting patrons a unique taste of the best of Italian food, drink and motoring. Dubbed the #LoftusFestaItaliana, the festival will bring a unique twist to the Loftus matchday experience, with the D-Field Market taking visitors on a flavour-filled Italian journey including live cooking demos and tasting.

As is customary, the Loftus Market will be the place to be with an entertainment line-up that features the likes of Dino Moran, A-Rod and Thabiso Khambule. At half time, one lucky fan can walk away with R100 000 in the Loftus Crossbar Challenge with the Vodacom Dinosaur Dash also presenting fans with an opportunity to win fun prizes on the day.

Tickets are available from TicketPro and start from R50.
