Key Stats - Round 2

  • Alex Dombrandt and Cadan Murley (both Harlequins) both scored hat-tricks at the weekend. It is the first time that two teammates have scored three tries each in a match since 2014.

  • Handre Pollard (Leicester Tigers) scored a round-high 17 points at the weekend: he was flawless off the tee, scored a try and assisted another.

  • Jordie Barrett (Leinster Rugby) made more carries than any other player in Round 2, a total of 24. He made a total of 114 metres with ball in hand and scored a try.

  • Cameron Hanekom (Vodacom Bulls) made 141 metres at the weekend - more than any forward has made in a match since 2021. In Round 2, he made seven dominant carries (first), five offloads (first), 35 post-contact metres (second), beat eight defenders (second), and scored two tries.

  • Arthur Retiere (Union Bordeaux-Bègles) won more turnovers than any other player in Round 2, a total of four. He also made two clean breaks and assisted a try.

  • In total, 85 tries and 614 points were scored over all Investec Champions Cup Round 2 matches.

  • The quickest try came from Tevita Tatafu (Union Bordeaux-Bègles) in the Ulster Rugby v Union Bordeaux-Bègles clash two minutes into the match.
