Round 2 – Key Stats

  • Axel Desperes (Section Paloise) scored a round-high 20 points at the weekend. He also didn’t miss a tackle.

  • Aaron Wainwright (Dragons RFC) made the most carries in Round 2, a total of 22. He also beat six defenders, made two clean breaks, and scored a try.

  • Huw Anderson (Dragons RFC) made 186 metres at the weekend - the second-highest total in a match in the last five seasons.

  • Darcy Graham (Edinburgh Rugby) made seven clean breaks in Round 2. The last player to make as many in a match was also an Edinburgh player (Ramiro Moyano) in 2022.

  • Luka Ivanishvili (Black Lion) won a round-high five turnovers at the weekend. He also made 12 carries and scored a try.

  • In total, 67 tries and 493 points were scored over all EPCR Challenge Cup Round 2 matches.

  • The quickest try came from Enzo Benmegal (RC Vannes) in the RC Vannes v Gloucester Rugby clash less than one minute into the match.
