The Vodacom Bulls have assembled a heavily rotated outfit that travels to the South coast for Round 10 of the 2024 Carling Currie Cup where they are set to tackle the Hollywoodbets Sharks XV in Durban.
In the front row, Jacques ‘Polisieman’ van Rooyen has new partners in crime in the form of Akker van der Merwe at hooker and the Bulls Forward of the Year Wilco Louw on the tighthead side. The trio at front row has the support of lock combination of Jannes Kirsten and Cobus Wiese. Behind the pair are skipper Marcell Coetzee and Celimpilo ka Gumede at open side and blindside flank, respectively.
The 2023/24 Vodacom Bulls Newcomer of the Year Cameron Hanekom laces up his boots at No 8 with Investec Champions Cup Player of the Year Embrose Papier behind at scrumhalf. Jaco van der Walt slots into flyhalf to complete the halfback combination.
Cunning speedster Sibongile ‘Easy’ ka Novuka will run out at left wing with Henry Immelman on the right-hand side of the park. Behind the fast twitchers will be Devon Williams marshalling the troops from fullback. ‘Team Man of the Year’ David Kriel combines with Harold Vorster at centre for the clash.
Springbok Johan Grobbelaar will be alongside Corne Lavgna, Francois Klopper, Sintu Manjezi, Nizaam Carr, Zak Burger, Boeta Chamberlain as well as Stedman Gans, who returns from a four-month-long injury layoff, are on the bench.
Kick-off at the Hollywoodbets Stadium is set for 5.05pm on Sunday.
