As the sharp end of the Hollywoodbets Pro Series comes into focus, the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Ladies side will be eager to reassert their dominance in the two competitions when they face the Lions in Johannesburg.

The Dolphins have consistently throughout the season been the form team and led the way in both the Hollywoodbets Pro20 and Hollywoodbets Pro50. They will head into the penultimate rounds of both competitions in first on the Pro50 log and second on the Pro20 table.

This weekend they face a Lions side that have the same number of points on the Pro50 table, however it's net run-rate that sees the Dolphins ahead of their Highveld opposition.

Speaking ahead of the crucial weekend of action, Dolphins head coach Angelique Taai said the squad are ready for what's to come.

"Our preparation has gone well this week and we've been lucky to have some sunshine to get through our processes this week," Taai said. "It's coming to the end of the season and the bodies are tired but the team is excited to put in a big final push with the eyes on the prize.

"The ladies are always up for a challenge and they understand the significance of this weekend in the context of both competitions."

The Dolphins suffered a second loss in the Pro50 last weekend against WSB Western Province and coach Taai believes they have addressed the issues heading into this weekend.

"We have definitely identified the areas where we need to improve on leading into this weekend and prepared accordingly."

This weekend's fixture is the same fixture where the Dolphins wrapped up the Pro50 title last season and they will be hoping to continue that positive thread heading to Johannesburg this weekend.

The Dolphins have welcomed back Ayanda Hlubi to the squad after the seamer recovered from injury.
